558 Uzbek Citizens Receive State Awards Ahead of the 35th Independence Anniversary

A total of 558 people in Uzbekistan have received high state awards in recognition of their work, professional achievements and contribution to the country’s development as Uzbekistan marks the 35th anniversary of independence. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said the dedication and courage of the award recipients deserve special recognition.
The President congratulated citizens receiving honorary titles, orders and medals during the anniversary celebrations. He also noted that the recipients include foreign partners who support Uzbekistan’s reforms and contribute to attracting major investments and advanced technologies to the country.
Mirziyoyev emphasised that the dedication and courage of those honoured serve as an example for the younger generation. He said the state awards represent recognition of their contribution to Uzbekistan’s development.
On August 22, the President signed a series of decrees awarding citizens, representatives of various sectors, military personnel, law-enforcement officers, foreign nationals and compatriots living abroad in connection with the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence.
During the ceremony, Shavkat Mirziyoyev personally presented the awards to their recipients.
“People look with admiration at the high titles, orders and medals worthy of your dedication, while our young people strive to follow your example. I believe this will give you new strength and inspiration in your future work,” the President said.
