The Ambassador emphasized that the appointment of the first Japanese citizen to the title of "Ambassador of Uzbek Culture" is a clear confirmation of the Uzbek government's high regard for developing cultural relations with Japan. This prestigious title provides Mashu Komazaki with ample opportunities to further promote Uzbekistan's culture and arts in Japan.

The event also included discussions on joint projects to promote Uzbekistan's cultural potential in Japan, including the publication of series of materials about Uzbekistan in the media.

Mashu Komazaki was born in Tokyo. She graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts' Piano Department in 2010. From 2015 to 2017, she worked as a music teacher in a secondary school in Bukhara, Uzbekistan, as part of Japan's overseas volunteer program (JOCV).
