On January 15, negotiations took place at the "Qasr Al Shati" residence in Abu Dhabi between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
President Mirziyoyev proposed launching a joint program for training highly qualified personnel and conducting scientific research in artificial intelligence in collaboration with the Mohammed bin Zayed University.
The leaders discussed enhancing multi-faceted cooperation, including politics, trade, investments, innovations, cultural and humanitarian projects. It was noted that the peoples of Uzbekistan and the UAE share common historical roots, traditions, and the Islamic faith.
The Uzbek leader's visit to the UAE marked the beginning of a new chapter in bilateral relations, elevating them to the level of strategic partnership.
The parties supported the initiative to declare 2025-2027 as the "New Era of Economic Cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UAE." Key tasks include increasing mutual trade by tenfold and raising the investment portfolio to $50 billion by 2030.
