A Wall of Sand Sweeps Over One of Australia’s Largest Gold Mines
A massive sandstorm passed over one of Australia’s largest underground gold mines, located in the remote Tanami Desert. Video published by the local edition of The Guardian rapidly gained traction online.

Despite the sudden loss of visibility and the onset of a thunderstorm, none of the workers were injured: they managed to take shelter inside the mine’s facilities in time.

According to climatologists, such events are common in arid regions and may occur almost monthly.

An hour later, the storm subsided, only to be followed by a murky rain that completed the striking natural spectacle.
