Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province is grappling with the catastrophic aftermath of prolonged torrential rains. Since late March, the region has been at the epicenter of a natural disaster that is turning homes into ruins and claiming dozens of lives. Authorities warn that the worst may still be to come.

Torrential Rains Claim 45 Lives
According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority, at least 45 people have been killed and another 105 injured in weather-related incidents since March 25. The primary cause of death has been the collapse of buildings as structures succumbed to powerful water flows and soil erosion.

The situation remains critical. Forecasters predict a new wave of heavy precipitation between April 6 and April 9. Emergency services are urging citizens to exercise extreme caution and avoid traveling to high-risk areas, as the threat of further landslides and structural collapses remains exceptionally high.
