Abbosbek Fayzullayev Named Asia’s Best Young Footballer

Uzbekistan national team and Russian CSKA midfielder Abbosbek Fayzullayev was awarded the title of Asia’s Young Player of the 2023/2024 season at the annual Asian Football Confederation (AFC) awards ceremony on October 29 in Seoul.
This year, Fayzullayev competed for the title alongside 18-year-old Japanese talent Gaku Nawata and 21-year-old South Korean Bae Chun-ho. Fayzullayev is a member of the team that secured victory in the semifinals of the AFC U-23 Asian Cup, leading Uzbekistan to qualify for the Paris Olympics for the first time in the country’s history.
Abbosbek Fayzullayev made his debut for the U-23 youth team at the age of 18. After receiving the "Most Valuable Player" award at the AFC U-20 Asian Cup held in Uzbekistan in 2023, he went on to play in all four matches of the U-20 World Cup in Argentina.
