The Supreme Court's evidence indicates that 18,579 people received sentences of other sorts of punishment, while 10,287 people received prison sentences.

In the first 6 months of 2024, 29,086 criminal cases against 37,179 people were considered by criminal courts. 465 of them were acquitted and rehabilitated, the press service of Supreme Court reports.

The number of convicted people is 29,382, of which 10,287 were sentenced to imprisonment and 18,579 were sentenced to other types of punishment.

Of the convicted people, 26,028 were men, 3,354 were women, 11,145 were young (including 1,068 minors), and 1,105 were over 60.

In addition, 3,432 people were released from prison in the courtroom due to the imposition of non-custodial sentences, 16,624 people were released on parole, 5,620 people had their sentences commuted, and 6,976 the articles that were unreasonably imposed by the preliminary investigation authorities against the person were excluded from the charge.
