Shavkat Mirziyoyev discussed with the Chairman of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce Caroline Lemm specific plans to expand the activities of American business in Uzbekistan.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, as part of his practical visit to the United States, on September 18, held a meeting with the Chairman of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce, Caroline Lemme. The press service of the head of state reported this.
It is noted that the event was also attended by heads of corporations GE Healthcare, Oppenheimer, Cerberus, CNH and Cintana. The leader of Uzbekistan congratulated the meeting participants on the 30th anniversary of the formation of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce, especially noting that this structure plays an important role in expanding bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation.
The fruitful results of the joint business forum, held on September 15 this year in Washington with the participation of representatives of more than 250 US companies and banks, were noted with great pleasure. Chairman of the Chamber Caroline Lemm thanked Shavkat Mirziyoyev for his political leadership in implementing a program of irreversible reforms that help increase the interest and trust of American business in Uzbekistan. It is noted that over the next few years, large American companies entered the chamber, in total their number reached 50.
At the meeting, specific plans to expand the activities of American business in Uzbekistan were discussed. As a result, the adoption of “road maps” for the implementation of joint projects was agreed upon.
