Austin Shooting: Two Dead, 14 Injured

A shooting near a bar in Austin, Texas, left two people dead and 14 others injured. Three of the victims are reported to be in critical condition.
According to police, the suspect opened fire from the window of an SUV. He was wearing a hoodie bearing the words “Property of Allah” and a T-shirt displaying the Iranian flag. Responding officers shot and killed the gunman at the scene.
The attacker has been identified as Texas resident Ndiagu Dian. Authorities are investigating his motives. A computer and mobile phone were seized from his home for forensic examination, including checks for possible extremist propaganda or premeditated statements.
Law enforcement officials are also examining whether the attack may be connected to the escalating conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran that began on February 28. No official conclusions have yet been announced as the investigation remains ongoing.
