Azerbaijan and US Discuss TRIPP and Further Progress in Peace Process with Armenia

Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov met with US Chargé d’Affaires in Armenia David Allen, who arrived in Baku on a visit. The sides discussed advancing the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, implementing TRIPP and prospects for bilateral cooperation.

The discussions focused on the normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, establishing long-term and sustainable peace, and strengthening regional stability and security.

The sides also reviewed the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP). Particular attention was given to the establishment of a management company that will coordinate infrastructure construction along the route.

Elnur Mammadov also briefed the participants on the results of his visit to the United States, which took place on the occasion of the anniversary of the Washington Peace Summit. The meeting also covered the trilateral declaration signed following the visit.

In addition, Azerbaijani and US representatives exchanged views on prospects for bilateral cooperation and the implementation of the provisions of the Charter on Strategic Partnership.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss further steps in the peace process, regional security and the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States.
