Aziz Abdukhakimov: Nearly 200 water infrastructure units active in Tashkent

Tashkent has intensified its urban irrigation efforts, deploying dozens of watering trucks and nearly a hundred fountains, said the head of the Special Environmental Commission Aziz Abdukhakimov.

A total of 93 watering trucks and 95 fountains are currently operating in Tashkent, according to Aziz Abdukhakimov, chairman of the Committee on Ecology and head of the Special Commission on urgent measures to improve the city’s environmental situation.

He noted that water is supplied from 34 canals into 40 ariq waterways, while the entire irrigation network spans 247 kilometers. The measures aim to stabilize the ecological situation in the capital and improve urban humidity levels.
