Uzbekistan approves ambitious plans for 2024

Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting on 12 March on the construction of housing and massifs of Yangi Uzbekiston this year. This was reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.
It is reportedly planned to build 100 thousand housing units under the programme for the current year.
The meeting also considered the issues of construction of Yangi Uzbekistan massifs. For example, construction of 38 such massifs has started in the regions today, and 17 more are planned to be built this year. The head of state emphasised that quality, compliance with deadlines and cost should be the main requirements in construction works.
It is noted that dilapidated housing in some regions will undergo renovation, with modern conditions being created for their residents.
It should be noted that last year 85 thousand housing units were built throughout Uzbekistan, which is 1.5 times more compared to 2022. The population was allocated mortgage loans worth 17 trillion sums.
