Bukhara to host 2nd international festival of gold embroidery and jewellery

On May 3-5 this year, “The 2nd International festival of gold embroidery and jewellery” will be held in Bukhara. This was reported by the press service of the Bukhara region administration.
“The objectives of the festival are to identify talented artisans, accelerate the development of gold embroidery and jewellery, to bring jewellery and art to the international level as a national brand, to attract tourists through the demonstration of national cultural traditions of our people, to promote the festival around the world”, the statement said.
It is noted that various presentations, exhibitions, musical theatre shows and entertainment programs, cultural and educational events will be organized during the international festival.
Also, within the framework of the festival, a scientific and practical conference on the topic “Prospects for the development of traditional gold and jewellery art” will be held in the ancient city.
