During his visit to the Bukhara region, the head of state familiarized himself with the industrial exhibition and new investment projects, as reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan.

Products manufactured in various industries are presented in line with planned projects.

Large and small boilers for heating systems, components for heavy and light industries, refrigerators of various sizes and capacities, electrical equipment, and motorcycles are demonstrated. Also showcased is the system for regulating government procurement.

Over the past seven years, investments totalling approximately $4 billion have been attracted to the region. As a result, 90 thousand jobs have been created, and the opportunity for exports amounting to $1.8 billion has been established. This year, 607 projects totalling $1.3 billion are being implemented in the region.

In the Bukhara region, 80 projects with a total value of $14 billion have been formed, with funds being invested by foreign investors and local entrepreneurs. Of these, 14 projects totalling $4 billion were jointly presented to the President by investors and industry leaders.

Companies from China, Russia, Türkiye, Germany, Saudi Arabia, India, Malaysia, South Korea, and other countries are investing in the projects. The projects cover industries such as construction materials, electrical engineering, chemistry, textiles, food products, pharmaceuticals, medicine, mining, fisheries, and others.

For example, the construction of a 600-megawatt wind power station in Gijduvan district in collaboration with China is planned, as well as the development of a graphite deposit and the organization of production of batteries for electric scooters in the Peshkun district with the participation of a Malaysian investor, and the creation of a chemical cluster in the Bukhara district by Iranian investors.

The implementation of these 80 projects will provide employment for more than 22,200 people.

The President gave additional instructions to increase the production of value-added products and localization, as well as to develop services.
