Central Asia University Emphasizes Interdisciplinary Learning and International Experience

The future of education is not limited to the transfer of knowledge but also depends on creating an environment for collaboration, development and the exchange of experience. Kamran Gulamov made the statement while outlining Central Asia University’s (CAU) approach to organizing the educational process.
“The future of education is not just knowledge. It is atmosphere, collaboration and mutual harmony,” Gulamov said.
According to him, CAU structures its educational processes around students. Gulamov noted that the university’s schools do not operate in isolation but form part of a single ecosystem in which teachers jointly develop ideas and students learn and grow at the intersection of different fields.
One element of this approach was a facilitation session involving professors from the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia and South Africa. According to Gulamov, the international participation brought those involved together around three principles: students should remain at the centre of the educational process, the university’s culture should be based on collaboration, and quality should remain the main priority.
Central Asia University describes its mission as bringing internationally oriented education to Central Asia, increasing global awareness of the region’s potential and developing future leaders in business, engineering, hospitality, medical and dental sciences.
According to the university’s stated philosophy, its educational approach includes developing leadership qualities, engagement, respect and responsibility. It also emphasizes ethical standards, determination, hard work and initiative, as well as practice and innovation. The university says it aims to create opportunities for experimentation, learning and development.
CAU also highlights the practical application of knowledge and employment opportunities. According to its materials, the university seeks to create career opportunities for students both in leading Central Asian companies and in entrepreneurship.
