The President signed the law on August 29, 2024, introducing amendments to the Housing Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
According to the new changes, no one can be deprived of their housing except by a court decision and in accordance with the law.
The amendments ensure that homeowners who are deprived of their property receive prior and equivalent compensation for the value of their home and any incurred losses.
