Daily high-speed train to operate between Tashkent and Almaty
Uzbekistan
Starting December 14, a high-speed Talgo train will operate daily between Tashkent and Almaty. The new schedule aims to make travel between the two Central Asian capitals more convenient and efficient.
According to the railway authorities of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, the upgraded Talgo trains will provide enhanced comfort and carry more than 400 passengers per day.
Previously, the train operated less frequently, but growing passenger demand and deepening transport cooperation between the two countries prompted the shift to a daily schedule.
Experts note that the new service will boost tourism, business ties, and cross-border mobility across the region.
The daily Tashkent–Almaty service marks a new milestone in Central Asia’s transport integration, further strengthening the economic and cultural partnership between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
