Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian responded harshly to Donald Trump's call for negotiations, stating that Iran would not discuss agreements if pressure continues.

Do what you want: Iran's President refused to negotiate with Trump
Speaking at an event in Tehran, Pezeshkian stated that he is not going to negotiate with Washington while the American side uses the language of threats. "They are ordering and demanding that we obey. I will not negotiate under pressure. Do what you want," the Iranian state news agency quoted him as saying.

These statements came after Trump confirmed in an interview with Fox Business that he had sent a letter to Iran's top leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, proposing to resume negotiations. However, Iran's permanent mission to the UN stated that it had not received any official messages from Washington. Later, the American official admitted that the letter was indeed written but never sent.

Meanwhile, Tehran continues to build up its nuclear program. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) recently stated that Iran has accelerated uranium enrichment to 60% - a level close to that of weapons.

Ayatollah Khamenei and other high-ranking Iranian officials, including Foreign Minister Abbas Irakchi, have repeatedly stated that negotiations with the US are only possible if the country's sovereignty is respected and sanctions are lifted. "They want to dictate their terms to us, but we won't accept it," Khamenei emphasized.

Against this backdrop, the prospects for resuming dialogue between Washington and Tehran remain extremely uncertain.
