A 6.0 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Fukushima Prefecture, Japan

Off the northeastern coast of the Japanese island of Honshu, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6 was recorded. This was reported by the country's national meteorological agency.
According to seismologists, the epicentre of the underground tremors was located in the Pacific Ocean near Fukushima Prefecture at a depth of 40 kilometres.
There is currently no information on casualties or damage. Residents of other prefectures also felt the seismic event: Akita, Aomori, Iwate, Miyagi, Chiba, and Tokyo.
It should be reminded that the day before, a series of powerful earthquakes were recorded off the eastern coast of Taiwan. The magnitude of the strongest earthquake was 7.5. Nine people were killed as a result, with over a thousand injured. This earthquake was the strongest on the island in the last 25 years.
