Europe is facing “its most difficult moment” in efforts to avoid a rift with the United States over a potential settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, Bloomberg reports. According to diplomats cited by the agency, Donald Trump’s approach to Ukraine resembles a “roller-coaster ride,” and the situation appears to be entering an “especially steep drop.”
Dissatisfaction with U.S. negotiators is growing across European capitals. Many diplomats have already lost confidence in Washington’s position and fear that the White House’s unpredictability could lead to a serious split between allies.
