FIFA President Gianni Infantino visited the Olympic Village in Tashkent and praised Uzbekistan’s modern sports infrastructure.

He was accompanied by Uzbekistan’s Minister of Sports Adham Ikramov, NOC First Vice President Otabek Umarov, UFA First Vice President Ravshan Irmatov, and other officials.

Construction of the Olympic Village began on November 9, 2022, and the complex now spans over 100 hectares. It includes state-of-the-art, multifunctional sports facilities that fully meet international standards and are ready to host global competitions.

Infantino noted that the complex symbolizes the creative potential of the Uzbek people and reflects the country’s ambitious reforms in the sports sector. He highlighted its energy efficiency, innovative solutions, and architectural excellence, calling it a striking example of modern sports infrastructure.
