Acting Khokim of Tashkent Shavkat Umrzakov met with Ambassador of Qatar Hassan Hamza Hashim. This was reported by the press service of the khokimiyat.
It was noted that during the dialogue, issues of bringing bilateral cooperation to a new level, implementation of mutually beneficial projects in the field of logistics, tourism, construction, trade and services were discussed.
At the meeting, the issues of preparing a roadmap for the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding on establishing cooperation relations between Tashkent and Doha, signed in Samarkand during the visit of the Emir of Qatar at the highest level, were considered.
An exchange of views was held on inviting Qatari business delegations to participate in the projects of the city of new Tashkent, promoting the pilgrimage tourism of Uzbekistan in Qatar, ensuring the expansion of mutual visits and contacts by establishing flights on the Tashkent-Doha route, accelerating work on organizing cultural events such as Days of Tashkent in Doha and Doha Days in Tashkent.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the practical dialogue.
