50 Leading Analysts to Gather in Khiva for a Grand Strategy
Economy
Ancient Khiva is set to become the region's intellectual capital: on April 16–17, it will host the first "Central Asia – Germany" Expert Forum. This meeting serves as the practical implementation of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s initiative to establish a permanent analytical platform aimed at strengthening dialogue with Europe's largest economy.
Organized by the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies (ISRS) in cooperation with Germany's Konrad Adenauer and Friedrich Ebert Foundations, the event will gather over 50 prominent analysts and business leaders. The forum's primary goal is to transition the "Central Asia + Germany" format from periodic meetings into a systemic partnership supported by solid scientific and economic foundations.
The agenda covers a range of critical and forward-looking topics. Experts will discuss not only political dialogue and industrial cooperation but also digital transformation issues. Special emphasis will be placed on human capital: academic exchanges and the creation of structured mechanisms for labor migration. The expert platform being launched in Khiva is designed to provide high-quality analytical support for interstate projects, making cooperation between Berlin and the region's nations more predictable and effective in an evolving world order.
