Pentagon Releases Sixth Batch of Declassified UFO Files

The Pentagon has released its sixth batch of records on unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), commonly known as UFOs. The latest disclosure contains 71 files: 55 PDF documents, 15 videos and one audio recording. The materials cover incidents dating from 1952 to 2025.
Of the 71 files, 67 were provided by the US Department of Defense and four by local law enforcement in Colorado. Most of the records — 64 of 71 — contain redactions. The release combines historical documents with more recent footage captured by military surveillance systems.
Among the notable materials is a four-minute, 58-second video recorded by an infrared sensor aboard a US military platform in the Middle East. An accompanying mission report describes the object as a white, round sphere moving at up to 500 miles per hour, or about 805 km/h. The published records contain a discrepancy, however: the case is listed as a 2025 incident, while its description says the footage was captured in 2024.
The release also contains footage of other unidentified objects observed in the Middle East, records submitted by Colorado law enforcement and historical material. Among them is an audio recording of a 1952 presentation by US Air Force officer Edward Ruppelt, who later headed Project Blue Book.
The first batch of records was released on May 8, 2026, following President Donald Trump’s directive to disclose government files related to UFOs and UAP. The Pentagon has said additional records will continue to be released on a rolling basis.
