Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was detained in Norfolk as part of an ongoing probe, which may relate to his role as a special trade envoy and documents allegedly shared with Epstein. The investigation is led by Thames Valley Police, covering Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, and Oxfordshire.

The 66-year-old former prince has long been under public scrutiny due to his friendship with Epstein. Virginia Giuffre alleged that Epstein forced her into sexual relations with Andrew when she was 17. Andrew has repeatedly denied wrongdoing.

In October 2025, King Charles III stripped his brother of royal titles, including Prince and Duke of York, after new revelations about his links to Epstein. Andrew’s name appears hundreds of times in published materials, including Epstein’s emails, with references to dinners at Buckingham Palace.

Andrew is currently in custody as the investigation continues.
