From next year, Uzbek applicants will choose a university after testing

Starting from the 2024/2025 academic year, entrance exams to higher education institutions will be organised according to the principle of "first a test, then a choice". In addition, applicants will be able to choose a higher education institution, direction of education and form of education based on their scores on the test tests. This is stated in the relevant decree of the President.

It is noted that certificates based on the results of international examinations in general education subjects will be taken into account in the admission to state higher educational institutions. The list of recognised international certificates will be approved by a decision of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.

The curricula of academic lyceums with high potential will be developed on the basis of international programmes (International Advanced Levels, International Baccalaureate).
