Google has switched off traffic data in Israel and the Gaza Strip
Google has switched off traffic data in Google Maps and Waze applications in Israel and the Gaza Strip at the request of the Israeli military. This is reported by Bloomberg, citing sources.

"As before in conflict situations and in response to the evolving situation in the region, we have temporarily disabled the ability to view traffic on the roads and real-time traffic congestion information for security reasons," the agency quotes the company's representative.

It is noted that the decision is explained by the fact that real-time traffic data can be used to obtain information about the movements of Israeli troops. According to the agency, Google disabled this data at the request of the Israel Defence Forces.
