Hajj season opens in Uzbekistan

On the morning of May 13, the first group of Uzbek pilgrims departed from Tashkent for Saudi Arabia. This was reported by the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan.
The farewell ceremony at the capital's international airport was led by the Mufti of the Republic, Nuriddin Kholiknazarov, who wished the pilgrims an easy journey and acceptance of the Hajj. Thus, the Hajj season officially began in the country.
In the coming weeks, all registered pilgrims from various regions of the republic are expected to fly to Saudi Arabia.
