Hamas has presented its proposals to the Israeli government.
Osama al-Hamdan, a member of Hamas' political bureau, said that in their proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza, they demanded that Egypt, Qatar, Türkiye, Russia and the UN act as guarantors in any agreement.
Hamdan made a statement on the exchange of prisoners and the ceasefire agreement that Hamas presented to the Israeli government through intermediary countries.
He emphasised that Hamas is working to achieve a comprehensive and complete ceasefire.
According to the statement, Hamas presented in the agreement its proposals for sending aid and supplies, stopping barbaric attacks on defenceless civilians, including children, women and the elderly, providing safe housing for displaced persons, reconstruction, lifting the siege on Gaza and a full prisoner exchange.
It is noted that Hamas reacted favourably to the agreement despite the reaction of Israel, which rejects even the most basic human rights of the Palestinian people.
Recalling Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's recent statement on the agreement, he noted that Netanyahu would not withdraw his army from Gaza or release Palestinians in prison.
Asked by reporters which countries besides Egypt and Qatar are the guarantors of the memorandum of understanding, Hamdan replied in their proposal for a ceasefire in Gaza they suggested that Egypt, Qatar, Turkey, Russia and the UN should be the guarantors of the agreement.
Osama al-Hamdan added that a Hamas delegation will hold talks in Cairo on Thursday to discuss the development.
