In Türkiye, strict checks are conducted on arriving foreign nationals

At the border entry and exit points into Türkiye, law enforcement officials are conducting rigorous checks on arriving foreign nationals. This was reported by the press service of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
It is noted that as part of this operation, control measures are strengthened, primarily concerning foreigners aged 20 to 35 at Istanbul's international airport.
There are also known cases of questioning individuals whose behaviour has aroused suspicion among migration service personnel, along with checks on their personal mobile phones.
Additionally, individuals suspected of involvement in terrorism, human trafficking, and other crimes, as well as those attempting to transport prohibited goods, are assessed as undesirable passengers for entry into Türkiye and are sent back to their country without entry into Turkish territory.
The Consulate urges Uzbek citizens to respect local laws and fully comply with them. Furthermore, the report recommends that citizens who have committed unlawful acts and have been deported clarify in Turkish missions in Tashkent and Samarkand whether there is a ban on entry into Türkiye or not.
