Indian Prime Minister Modi flew to Moscow to attend a meeting of the Russian-Indian summit.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for Moscow, where he will participate in a meeting of the Russian-Indian summit, RIA Novosti reported citing his office.

Ahead of his flight, the politician said he was looking forward to meeting President Vladimir Putin, calling him a friend. He said the special and privileged strategic partnership between India and Russia has advanced over the past decade, including in the areas of energy, security, trade, investment, health, education, culture, tourism and people-to-people exchanges.

According to the Kremlin press service, Putin and Modi will discuss prospects for further development of traditionally friendly Russian-Indian relations, as well as topical issues on the international and regional agenda.
