By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Dustlik, Surankent, Turkestan, Gulistan, Iyk Ota, (Kibray) Nurmukhammedov from the Verkhne-Chirchik region and Dustlik, Okhunbobev, Kim Peng Hwa from the middle Chirchik region and lands of agricultural specialization on the territory of the Rice Growing Institute will be classified as land for the construction of a new city of Tashkent.

A presidential decree “On measures to create a new city of Tashkent” was adopted. According to it, the Directorate for the construction of a new city of Tashkent will be created under the Cabinet of Ministers in the form of a state institution.

The director will be the Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services.

To create a new city of Tashkent, the category of land will be changed in the Verkhnechirchik region on the territory of Uzbekistan, Dustlik, Surankent, Turkestan, Gulistan, Iyk Ota, (Kibray) Nurmukhammedov and the middle Chirchik region on the territory of Dustlik, Okhunbobev, Kim Peng Hwa and some agricultural lands of the Institute of Rice Growing. The new city of Tashkent will be built on 19,720.9 hectares of land.

The companies Foster and Partners (Great Britain), OMA (Netherlands) and Meinhardt (Singapore) were involved in the development of the Master Plan of the city of New Tashkent.

Land plots for entrepreneurial and urban planning activities, including the construction of apartment buildings, industrial, commercial and service facilities, are sold or leased at auctions through the e-Auction electronic trading platform in accordance with the decision of the Coordinating Council.
