Donald Trump intends to raise U.S. defense spending to an unprecedented $1.5 trillion. The 2027 budget proposal, unveiled by the Pentagon, aims for a radical modernization of the Navy and the establishment of a national missile defense system.

The department introduced a special category titled "Presidential Priorities," which includes the development and deployment of the "Golden Dome" missile shield, as well as achieving global dominance in unmanned technologies.

Shipbuilding has emerged as one of the most expensive items in the proposal: Trump is requesting $65 billion to build 18 warships simultaneously. Analysts note that naval funding levels have reached a peak not seen since 1962. Notably, despite the colossal figures, the document does not allocate specific funding for the ongoing conflict with Iran.

Last year, the U.S. military budget surpassed the $1 trillion mark for the first time in history. This new request effectively solidifies the White House’s strategy to secure dominance across key military domains through record-breaking financial injections.
