According to the law, it is forbidden to refuse employment or reduce the amount of wages due to pregnancy or having a child.
In this case, unlawfully refusing to hire a woman due to her pregnancy or a person because they are raising a young child, or dismissing them from their job, will result in one of the following penalties:
A fine of up to 25 times the minimum wage (up to 8.5 million UZS);
Deprivation of certain rights for up to 3 years;
Corrective labor for up to 3 years.
