Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan Build New Trade Transit Center

Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan have launched a major project to build a modern multipurpose logistics center in the Tashkent Region. The new transport and logistics hub is expected to strengthen the transit potential of the region and become an important link in Eurasian trade routes.

The contract covers the full project cycle, including design documentation, equipment supply, railway infrastructure construction, container terminal development, and commissioning.

The project was signed in Tashkent by Daniyar Tiesov, CEO of Silkway, and Tian Zhenhua from China Railway Construction Engineering Group.

The hub is designed to improve regional transit capabilities and play a key role in trade corridors linking Central Asia, China, the Caucasus, and Europe.

The project is planned for 2025–2030, with the first phase scheduled for launch in 2027. Initial investments will exceed 84 million USD.
