Kazakhstan will not fight for the right to host the world football championship, the Ministry of Sports said. Earlier, the President of the Football Federation of Kazakhstan, Adlet Barmenkulov, proposed to submit a joint application with Uzbekistan to host the 2034 World Cup.
Kazakhstan is not going to apply to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the country.
It is noted that the department rejected the proposal of the head of the Football Federation of the country, Adlet Barmenkulov. He suggested submitting a joint application with Uzbekistan.
This was discussed at the summit of officials of the football associations of the Turkic-speaking countries of Central Asia in Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry of Culture and Sports assured that they pay great attention to Kazakhstani football, especially its development.
Recall that the application process for hosting the World Cup has not yet begun. However, some early bids have already been made to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup. Most likely, the host will be chosen in 2027.
