Kazakhstan Votes: 87% Support New Constitution

In the national referendum on the new Constitution, 9,127,192 people voted in Kazakhstan and abroad, representing 73.12% of registered voters, announced Nurlan Abdirov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Kazakhstan.
Out of the total participants, 7,954,667 people, or 87.15%, voted in favor of adopting the new Constitution. The results indicate strong support for the constitutional changes among Kazakhs both domestically and internationally.
The Central Election Commission noted that the voting process was well-organized, without violations, and all sanitary and technical standards were observed. Voting took place at all 10,388 polling stations across Kazakhstan and at 71 stations abroad, including at diplomatic missions in 54 countries.
Preliminary results will be finalized after all ballots are processed, but it is already clear that the referendum represents a significant milestone in the country’s development and the consolidation of the new Constitution as the foundation of state authority.
