The General Assembly of the Asian Equestrian Federation (AEF) is being held in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, from March 5 to 8.

AEF was founded in 1978, its members are 35 countries of the Asian continent, its headquarters is located in Doha (Qatar), the president of AEF is Hamad Abdulrahman Al Attiyah.

AEF General Assemblies are held annually, traditionally in late February - early March. This assembly will present the reports of the AEF committees, as well as elections for the positions of heads of regional groups. As part of the General Assembly, the capital's Universal Horses Stable club will also host show jumping competitions for the Asian Equestrian Federation President's Cup.

It is gratifying to note that at the extraordinary General Assembly held in China last October, the position of Vice-President of the AEF was taken by a representative of Uzbekistan - Chairman of the Federation of Horse Breeding and Equestrian Sports of Uzbekistan Bahromjon Gaziev.
