Media: Washington provokes a full-scale war in the Middle East

According to a commentary published by the Korean Central News Agency, the United States has always supported Israel, which has illegally occupied Palestinian territory, carried out constant armed attacks, brutal killings of civilians and Jewish expansion, for domestic political purposes.
US policies, including support for Israel and double standards, have put the situation in the Middle East on the "threshold of a full-scale war." A commentary published by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said.
"The situation in the Middle East is deteriorating with every passing moment and is getting closer to the threshold of a full-scale war. The international community says with one voice that the tragic situation in the Middle East, which could escalate into a full-scale war, is entirely the work of the United States," the commentary said.
According to the authors of the article, Israel has been ordered to "prepare for an invasion" and attacks on the Gaza Strip are intensifying. Against this backdrop, the United States promised Israel aid and weapons and sent two aircraft carriers to the region. U.S. officials, including the secretary of state, the secretary of defence and the president, have travelled to the country to pledge support and "ignite war" against Israel.
In mid-October, the US vetoed a draft UN Security Council resolution that sought a ceasefire and resolution of the humanitarian crisis, thereby "destroying even a small chance" of preventing escalation, the commentators said. In their view, the European Union, which "lacks the ability to think for itself and be independent," is "inferior" to the United States.
"The United States has always supported Israel, which has illegally occupied the Palestinian territories for domestic political reasons and for the sake of its strategy of world domination, which carries out constant armed attacks, brutal killings of civilians and Jewish expansion. Thus, the historical injustice to the Palestinians, whose dream of building an independent state continues, has not been realised," the commentary said.
As the KCNA noted, Washington blames Palestine for the situation in the Middle East and calls it an aggressor, but "the fair international community strongly disagrees."
"The world community warns that global stability and security are threatened by the US selfish foreign policy and double standards," the commentary said. Its authors advise the international community to closely monitor the US "extradition" and strongly oppose it.
