The plan envisions the release of all Israeli hostages held by Hamas, in return for Palestinian prisoners in Israeli custody. It also includes a complete end to hostilities and a full Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip.

Hamas has reportedly agreed to hand over governance of Gaza to another Palestinian body, either the Palestinian Authority or a new administrative entity. A Hamas delegation is expected to arrive in Cairo for high-level talks in the coming days.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reiterated that the war will not end until Hamas is dismantled and all hostages are returned. Israel has yet to officially comment on the mediators’ proposal.

Meanwhile, Israeli strikes on Gaza continue, with reports of at least 22 Palestinians killed and dozens more injured in the latest wave of air raids. Civilian infrastructure and rescue equipment have also been damaged.
