Medvedev: Trump can end the conflict in Ukraine
Medvedev made this statement during an interview with Al Arabiya, as reported by Report.

"We understand that President-elect Trump is a pragmatic person. Mr. Trump has publicly announced that he will address the cessation of this conflict in the shortest possible time. And he can do it because all the keys are in Washington," Medvedev said.

At the same time, he emphasized that Moscow does not place its hopes on Trump or anyone else: "We rely solely on our own strength. We rely on our defensive capabilities, on the outcome of this conflict and our unquestionable victory in it, as well as on building relations with other countries."

On November 5, 2024, in the U.S. presidential election, Donald Trump defeated Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. His inauguration is scheduled for January 20, 2025.

Trump has repeatedly stated his intention to stop the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible.
