Month of Temur: April Becomes a Symbol of Heritage
The corresponding decree was signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on February 5. The document commemorates the 690th anniversary of the birth of the founder of the Timurid Empire and establishes annual educational and cultural events throughout the country each April.

During the month, meetings, lectures, and cultural-educational programs dedicated to the legacy of Sahibqiran will be held in educational institutions, military units, enterprises, and local communities.

At the same time, a roadmap through 2030 has been approved to ensure systematic study of the Timurid era and wider promotion of research results. A key event will be the international conference “The Role and Significance of Amir Temur and the Timurid Civilization in World History and Culture,” scheduled for April 9–10 at the Center of Islamic Civilization.

The anniversary year will see the publication of a series of books on the Timurid era, the release of Temur Tuzuklari with scholarly commentary in eight languages, and the production of albums titled “100 Unique Manuscripts” and “100 Artistic Masterpieces” of the period. Plans also include creating a digital platform of historical sources and bringing copies of relevant documents from abroad to Uzbekistan.

Special attention will be given to international promotion of the Timurid heritage. Historical and documentary films about the empire’s diplomatic ties will be screened in Spain, France, and the United Kingdom, while presentations and conferences abroad will promote the term “Great Timurids” in academic discourse.

Commemorative postage stamps, envelopes, calendars, and silver and gold coins will also be issued. By the end of the year, the State Museum of the History of the Timurids in Tashkent will be реконstructed, fully digitized, and equipped with a new exhibition.

The organizing committee for the anniversary events is headed by Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov. The decree emphasizes that the image of Amir Temur symbolizes national statehood and serves as a source of spiritual strength for the Uzbek people on the path toward the Third Renaissance.
