Munich Conference prize awarded to the people of Ukraine

The Ewald von Kleist Prize, presented as part of the Munich Security Conference, will be awarded to the people of Ukraine in 2026. President Volodymyr Zelensky will accept the award on their behalf.
The ceremony will take place during the Munich Security Conference, scheduled for February 13–15, 2026, in Munich.
Ukraine’s ambassador to Germany, Oleksii Makeiev, announced that the decision has been officially confirmed.
The Ewald von Kleist Prize is awarded to individuals or organizations that have made a special contribution to peace and conflict resolution. It is named after the founder of the Munich Security Conference, German politician and publisher Ewald von Kleist.
