The album is a musical journey through loneliness, memory, loss, inner resilience and hope. Its programme explores experiences familiar to those who have felt lost but continued moving forward, maintaining connections with people, places and memories that provide a sense of home.

Alongside new compositions, the concert will feature some of Richter’s best-known works, combining cinematic sound, lyrical precision and emotional depth.

“My music is a soundtrack to life. The stories I tell somehow resonate with the lives of other people. That is when you get the feeling that we are all speaking the same language,” the composer says.

Richter works across contemporary classical music, film and dance. His compositions have been performed at the Berlin Philharmonie, the Elbphilharmonie and London’s Royal Albert Hall, as well as at major international events, including the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup. His music has also featured in Olympic programmes by figure-skating champions.

He composed music for the ballet Seven Ages in collaboration with choreographer Marco Goecke and contributed to a new interpretation of Handel’s opera Tamerlano directed by Stefano Poda.

Richter Trio brings piano and strings together in a chamber setting, highlighting the nuances, dynamics and emotional depth of the composer’s music.
