The mission is scheduled to begin no earlier than August 2027 at the Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center. Volunteers will live in specially designed modules replicating an interplanetary spacecraft and a planetary surface habitat. Throughout the mission, they will conduct scientific research, maintain equipment, and perform daily tasks under limited-resource conditions.

During the experiment, NASA specialists will continuously monitor the participants' physical and psychological health while testing life-support systems and technologies intended for future deep-space exploration.

Applications are open to US citizens and permanent residents aged 30 to 55, with a height of up to 188 centimeters, who meet the agency's medical and professional requirements.
