According to The Times of Israel, the Turkish political establishment has noticeably intensified its sanctioned pressure in recent weeks. Specifically, in early June, Turkish Interior Minister Mustafa Ciftci publicly called for the "liberation" of Jerusalem. The Israeli leadership stated that these verbal attacks would not go unanswered. Netanyahu announced official Tel Aviv's intention to immediately bring Ankara's aggressive signals to the attention of its "American friends," stressing that Israel categorically refuses to ignore the escalating threat from its regional neighbor.
