Netanyahu to Visit U.S. to Discuss Gaza and Tariffs
Netanyahu is planning a face-to-face meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House. The meeting is expected to address the possible lifting of tariffs imposed by the United States on Israeli imports. Axios reported this on Saturday, April 5, referencing four sources familiar with the matter.

According to the publication, the visit could take place on Monday, April 7. In addition to trade issues, the leaders are expected to discuss the situation in the Gaza Strip and the nuclear agreement between the U.S. and Iran.

President Donald Trump himself confirmed that Netanyahu would soon visit the United States. On Friday, April 4, aboard the presidential plane Air Force One, Trump told reporters that he had held phone conversations with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Netanyahu, who was in Budapest at the time—despite an arrest warrant issued against him by the International Criminal Court (ICC).

During the call, the leaders discussed Hungary’s possible withdrawal from the ICC and addressed trade tariffs. Trump then proposed discussing the matter in person with Netanyahu, although no exact date was set for the meeting.
