The project is being considered at the SpaceX level by a startup, which is estimated at more than $100 billion.

The project is partially funded by Ive himself and the widow of Apple founder Lauren Powell Jobs through her company Emerson Collective.

Johnny Ive is a British designer who has been Apple's chief designer for 27 years. Minimalistic and unique style for devices such as iPhone, iPod, MacBook and Apple Watch, he created as a branded highlight of the company. In 2019, Ive left Apple and founded his own design studio LoveFrom, where he is engaged in projects in the field of architecture, fashion and technology. In 2022, Apple stopped consulting cooperation with him.

The head of Airbnb, Brian Chesky, brought Johnny Ive to OpenAI founder Sam Altman. They believe that the generative capabilities of AI have a huge potential for the development of innovative devices that can significantly affect the technology industry.

LoveFrom co-founder Mark Newson said that the project is at the conceptual stage, and the specific release date of the device has not yet been determined.
