Uzbekistan's cycling community is celebrating a major international success. Nikita Tsvetkov emerged as the champion of the Fergana Grand Prix road race, outperforming formidable opponents from Europe and the CIS in a grueling final sprint.

According to the National Olympic Committee's press service, the second stage of the men's competition proved to be decisive. Tsvetkov was the first to cross the finish line, covering a challenging 141-kilometer course in 3 hours, 25 minutes, and 41 seconds.

The competition in Fergana was intense. The silver medal went to Juan Lozano of Spain, while Roman Tishkov from Belarus rounded out the top three. Tsvetkov’s victory at this home tournament reaffirms the high level of training among Uzbek cyclists and their ability to secure wins against tough international competition.
