This was announced by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot in an interview with the BBC. He stated that Ukraine could attack Russian territory in self-defense, though the use of long-range French weapons by the Ukrainian Armed Forces has not been confirmed.

“No red lines remain”: Ukraine may fire French missiles at Russian territory
“We will support Ukraine as intensely and as long as necessary. Why? Because our security is at risk. Every time the Russian army advances by one square kilometer, the threat moves one square kilometer closer to Europe,” said the minister.

According to him, Western partners should not impose restrictions or draw “red lines” when helping Ukraine. When asked if this might include French troops participating in combat, he responded, “We are not excluding any options.”

The Ukrainian Armed Forces now possess French SCALP-EG missiles capable of hitting targets over 250 km away.
